As people may have noticed, I try to steer clear of Turkish politics.  But for sure stuff happens.  Take, for example, yet another bombshell that transpired yesterday, when the long time leader of the opposition party resigned amidst a scandal about - what else? - sex, lies and videotape.  

I was at my friend's office drinking tea (of course!) when the news broke - he was absolutely beside himself, he was so upset.  By contrast his twenty year old apprentice was grinning from ear to ear - he just couldn't contain his happiness!  What I was bolstered by was the acceptance and tolerance of their differing opinions.
