My name in Turkish means the sea.
For those who are curious, it is pronounced like the restaurant, as in
Denny's.
I am a composer who happily divides her time between New York and Istanbul.
You can find more about what I do professionally at

As for the camera: it is not a particularly fancy one, although I do depend on it a lot to zoom in - many of the images you see are pictures that I managed to snap from more than ten feet away. And because the pixel number is high (12.5 mp) I can then crop it down without compromising the image. Here is a
link to the same exact camera that I have. Currently, it is priced at $149.00 plus shipping and tax on Amazon.
I also use iPhoto on a Mac. I try not to tweak things too much, but their definition and sharpness options are very useful, as well as the straightening and cropping features.
I'd like to acknowledge
Wlad in New York, for his amazing work building this site from scratch. And then there's
Utku in Istanbul, who's been indispensable with his translations - because my Turkish is only
şöyle böyle. I thank you both, from the bottom of my heart.
